We are a grassroots organization founded by Richard and Elverta Weatherford in 1985, dedicated to beautifying Albion by planting flowers along the entrances and business loop of Albion. This is accomplished by raising funds with the annual Men Who Cook fundraiser and having community volunteers plant and maintain the flowers during the summer season. The Weatherford Garden is also maintained along with permanent flower planters in the downtown business district.

"Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time"
Albion Kiwanis strives to serve the children and the community of Albion through projects such as: Sponsorships to Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Girls State. We also award Academic Letters to Albion High School students, dictionaries to all 3rd graders and Thesaurus to all 7th gragers in both Albion and Springport schools. We donate to Mott's Children's Hospital through the Michigan Foundation for their Child Life Program which helps young patients to keep up their education and spirits while enduring serious illness. We also donate funds and supplies for the Baby Pantry at the First United Methodist Church of Albion which helps young parents with diapers and formula during hard times. Our fund raising projects include our Annual Walleye Dinner the 1st Friday in November, annual Nut Sale, Peanut Day, M & M sales and Pop and Popcorn at the 4th of July Fireworks.
The Albion Kiwanis meets every Tuesday at noon in Cascarelli's Conference room. Please come and join us and see who we are and what we do.
